Our Story

We’re Hanna and Hannah — two mums, friends, and the co-founders of Life Postpartum.

Like many women, we felt well supported during pregnancy. There were apps, classes, checklists, and appointments guiding us every step of the way.
But once our babies arrived, that support seemed to disappear.

In the fog of sleepless nights, healing bodies, shifting identities, and overwhelming emotions, we both found ourselves asking the same question:
Where is the support for mothers after birth?

The postpartum gap

The transition to motherhood is one of the most significant physical and emotional transformations a woman can go through- yet it’s one of the least supported.

  • 98% of new mothers report feeling exhausted and overwhelmed
  • Up to 20% experience postpartum depression
  • 74% face nutritional depletion
  • 1 in 3 mothers experience birth trauma

Healing takes time. Hormones shift. Nutritional needs rise. Relationships change.
Too often, women are left to figure it out alone.

Why we created Life Postpartum

So we decided to change that. Life Postpartum is a space designed to support, nurture, and truly see mothers after birth.

Our platform brings together expert-led guidance from physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, midwives, and more- offering personalised recovery tools, restorative movement, nourishing recipes, and emotional support that adapts to your stage of postpartum.

Whether you’re a few weeks in or many months along, we meet you where you are- physically, emotionally, and hormonally.

More than a platform

Life Postpartum isn’t just a platform. It’s a response to what’s been missing.

It’s our commitment to do better for the mothers who come after us- and to honour the ones who came before.

We’re so glad you’re here.

Hannah has spent over 12 years as a science teacher and Senior Educational Leader and is currently a learning designer for an educational charity.

Hannah’s passion for education, coupled with her love of Biology, took on new meaning as she experienced firsthand the transformative journey of pregnancy and postpartum. Inspired by her own experiences and motivated by the physical and emotional challenges that many women face during this critical phase, she is dedicated to advocating for a more supportive and informed workplace culture for postpartum mothers.

Now a mother to a toddler and a newborn, Hannah brings both personal insight and professional expertise to the well-being of postpartum women.

Founder

Hanna has a background in marketing and health coaching. As a qualified health coach, Hanna has led women through gut and hormone health recovery programmes as well as led health coaching workshops in a corporate environment.

She has over 10 years experience leading marketing strategy and large teams for global organisations.

It was during her own postpartum period that Hanna realised the women around her felt confused, unsupported and were dealing with so many physical challenges with nowhere to turn for the right advice for them. As an avid user of wearable health tech, Hanna knew there is a need to create a personalised service for women to heal postpartum.
