Iron-rich beet & berry smoothie

Beets and spinach are rich in iron, which is vital to replenish blood loss after delivery

Ingredients:

  • 1 small beet (roasted or steamed)
  • ½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ banana
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup oat milk or almond milk
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Method:

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately. Add more milk to thin if needed.
