Helen Buteux

Resident Occupational Therapist

Helen Buteux is a HCPC-registered Specialist Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting children and families. Her clinical expertise spans early development, sensory integration, and parent-child connection, with a particular focus on the critical early years from pregnancy to preschool. Through her work, Helen has seen the profound value of understanding early childhood development for how it shapes emotional wellbeing, learning, and relationships into adulthood. When children are nurtured in safe, responsive environments, their potential unfolds in powerful ways.

Helen’s passion for early child development is deeply rooted in both professional practice and personal experience. Becoming a mother herself gave her first-hand insight into the emotional shifts of motherhood and the often-overlooked needs of mothers navigating identity, overwhelm, and bonding. This dual lens of clinician and mother fuels her commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based support that honours both the child’s development and the mother’s wellbeing.

Helen brings a calm, empowering voice to the conversation around early parenting, helping families feel more confident, connected, and understood.
